This woman not only put the roof over the swimming pool, she branded swimming as a sport. She stood for healthy, powerful female business ethics. She had some deep understanding of the flow of commerce. She is my idol. Thanks, Esther, for all that you did.

Esther Williams was a real phenomena.. Amazing that she was able to balance out her life and not only have a movie career, but business and family too. She will be missed

I remember the swimming and diving sequences in her movies. They had high production values for the time. The fountains, syncro, underwater shots, and animation had a certain charm. She was a powerful and graceful athlete.
