Ruby and Her Sisters
The Taylor sisters of Humble, Texas met tragedy early in life
Their mother died in childbirth leaving ten children in grief and strife
Their father rode a black horse around the oil field reading gauges
Recording the data from each well in production for very low wages
When their father killed himself at home he was discovered by his son
Who was only 5 years old. The deed could never be undone.
They had no preparation or reserves for this sudden change
Suicide had swept away home and security, memories forever stained

nice looking people anyway! my grandfather, walter bennett, the son of the founder of Acme Brick, reportedly committed suicide in 1935. a long time friend and employee of Acme got mixed up in it somehow which made some question whether it was really suicide or something else. it is still debated today in fort worth. the long time friend and employee ended up running Acme for 50 years. But there are 3 possibilities: suicide, murder or my grandfather staged his own death. take your pick. can you ever email me privately? I need to write his life story soon as I may be the last of my family to know the story in its entirety. Up to now, I have wanted to avoid controversy. His death had a profound effect on my mother.

Sure,you can e mail me at spafind@aol.com, cousin Rick. Quite the story, bot those were quite the times, and Texas was very wild and unpredictable. I never heard of the suicide until I was bout 10 and my cousin told me. It was never mentioned. When I asked my mother she told the truth, but really never talked about it. She was 17 and working in Houston, and then had no home to come back to…pretty traumatic.
